Hardware Engineer
Design hardware interfaces and system integration for AI compute platforms (NVIDIA Orin / Horizon J3/J5), leading sensor integration, PCB design and mass-production ramp.
Responsibilities
- Core compute platform integration: hardware interface design for NVIDIA Orin/Xavier, Horizon J3/J5; schematic design and signal integrity between compute platform, MCU, storage and peripherals
- High-speed vision interfaces and sensor integration: GMSL1/2 (FPD-Link III/IV), MIPI CSI-2 circuit design; multi-camera connection, anti-interference and long-distance transmission; hardware interfaces for LiDAR, mmWave radar, ultrasonic, IMU, GNSS/RTK
- Hardware system design and PCB: independently design and review 4+ layer PCBs (stack-up, impedance, power planes); lead motherboard/IO/sensor board design meeting EMC and thermal requirements; component selection for outdoor sanitation robot conditions with domestic chip alternatives
- Power and drive systems: 24V/48V battery power tree, DCDC conversion, BMS hardware interfacing; BLDC motor drive circuits, gate drivers and protection
- Debug, validation and production: signal quality testing (eye diagram, jitter) with oscilloscopes and analyzers; EMC pre-compliance (ESD, surge, radiated emissions); PCBA prototyping, pilot runs and production ramp with test specs and work instructions
Requirements
- BSc or above in Electronics, Automation, Communications or related; 3+ years hardware development
- Complete 4+ layer PCB project experience (Altium Designer / Cadence / PADS); able to own Layout quality
- Perception hardware focus (core requirement): NVIDIA Orin / Horizon J5 interfaces and boot flow; deep GMSL/FPD-Link understanding with real multi-camera debugging; LiDAR (Velodyne, Hesai, RoboSense) and mmWave radar integration; Ethernet (1000BASE-T1/100BASE-T1) or CAN
- Sanitation/cleaning robots, low-speed unmanned vehicles, ADAS or AGV/AMR industry experience preferred; outdoor robot electrical architecture and IP65/IP67 design
- Strong component selection ability across consumer/industrial/automotive grades with derating design; hands-on EMC remediation; skilled with oscilloscopes (incl. differential probes), logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers
- Plus: PCIe, USB3.0, LVDS high-speed design; automotive electronics (cockpit/ADAS domain controllers); ISO 26262 or SOTIF awareness; 0-to-1 hardware design with 1000+ unit production acceptance
