Supply Chain & Procurement Manager (Embodied AI / AD)
Build the procurement loop from supplier discovery, RFQ, cost analysis and negotiation to delivery acceptance for embodied AI / AD / robotics — balancing quality, delivery, cost and cash flow.
Responsibilities
- Supplier market discovery: build supplier maps for sensors, compute platforms, cameras, LiDAR, GNSS/IMU, harnesses, structural and electromechanical parts; establish backup and dual-source strategies
- Supplier onboarding and management: screening, site audits, sample validation, commercial evaluation and onboarding recommendations; scoring across price, quality, delivery, service, technical support and risk
- Full-cycle procurement: RFQ, comparison and negotiation based on BOM, specs and project plans; manage quotes, samples, pilots, orders, delivery, receipt, acceptance and after-sales
- Cost control and reduction: cost baselines, target costs and quote comparison models; should-cost, teardown quotes, open-book costing, value engineering and alternate-part analysis
- Payment terms negotiation: payment terms, prepayment ratios, staged/delivery/acceptance payments, warranty retention and price locks; optimize prepayment, batch delivery and milestone payments per cash plan
- Technical and engineering collaboration: read BOMs, specs, interface requirements, power budgets and acceptance standards; work with R&D, test and project teams on samples, alternates and acceptance criteria
Requirements
- BSc or above in Supply Chain, Procurement, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Automation, Vehicle Engineering preferred; 3-5 years in procurement/supply chain/supplier development/strategic sourcing
- At least 2 years in AD, automotive electronics, robotics, embodied AI, industrial automation or related hardware; full-cycle project experience from supplier development to delivery and after-sales
- Independent RFQ, comparison, cost analysis, negotiation and supplier selection; real cost-reduction cases with quantified before/after
- Payment terms, account periods, prepayment, installment and cash-flow negotiation experience; able to read technical docs, BOMs and quote breakdowns
- Strong contract, data, confidentiality and integrity awareness; clean procurement only — no kickbacks, gifts, personal interests or undisclosed related-party deals
- Preferred: AD retrofit, robot bodies, mobile robots, sensors, compute platforms or custom equipment sourcing; familiar with LiDAR, cameras, mmWave radar, GNSS/IMU, IPCs, harnesses, structural parts; 0-to-1 startup supply chain building
